Firstly, I find your system decidedly refreshing. I hate to admit that your very simple combat rules have caused me some confusion and I was hoping to get some clarification. Let me know if I understand the instructions to attack and defend myself from a creature:

Let's say I have these stats:

Level: 1           Health: 8

Agility: 11      Brawn: 4      Cunning: 17

There's a monster. I decide to shoot the monster with a crossbow. I roll a 6 on a d20. It's a hit and I do 6 points of damage?

Where I get confused is in defense:

Monster tries to hit me. I say, I am going to roll out of the way of his attack. I use agility to do so.

If I roll a 14 and my agility is 11. I take 11 points of damage and I go to zero hit points.

If I roll a 3 and my agility is 11. I take 8 points of damage and I go to zero hit points.

If I roll my stat of 11, I take 11 points of damage and I go to zero hit points.

If I roll at 10, I take 1 point of damage and go to 7 hit points.

Do i have this correct? Does the monster's stats to attack or dodge come into consideration at all?

Thanks!
